Career

Sichuan Guancheng

Feng Xiaoting started his professional football career with Sichuan Guancheng in the 2003 league season where he quickly established himself as a regular and despite being only 17 years old he would captain them for several games making him the youngest club captain in Chinese professional league history.[1] Continuing where he left off in his second season was considerably less productive after he was injured during the latter half of the season and missed much of the 2004 Chinese Super League season.

Dalian Shide F.C.

Being a promising young footballer with top tier experience Feng Xiaoting would quickly draw the attentions of Dalian Shide F.C. and would transfer to them in the 2005 Chinese Super League season, even though he was still injured and missed much of the early stages of the season. Nevertheless during the latter half of the season he would start to play a vital part in Dalian's push for the league and cup double, where he saw them win both.[2] The following seasons though saw Feng Xiaoting play a smaller role within the club and it was only once Ji Mingyi left before he started to establish himself as an integral member of the Dalian team during the 2008 Chinese Super League season.

Daegu F.C.

Feng came close to signing with AC Siena during the summer of 2008, Sporting Director Mr. Manuel Gerolin checked all Chinese Olympic matches and was impressed by Feng, but problems with extra-UE player's registration delayed this possibility. With his contract about to end with Dalian Shide F.C. Feng received offers from K-League sides Chunnam Dragons, Jeju United FC and Daegu FC during the 2009 off season. He eventually signed a two year contract with Daegu FC on a free transfer.[3] Feng made his debut for Daegu FC on March 22, 2009 against Pohang Steelers after coming on as a substitute at the 75th minute.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors

On January 29, 2010, Feng signed for 2009 K-League champion Jeonbuk Hyundai on a free transfer.[4] He will wear the number 15 shirt.

International career

Feng was part of the squad in the China Olympic team at the 2008 Summer Olympics where he was the first choice centre back pair with Li Weifeng.[5]

He actually made his senior debut in 2004, however he did not establish himself until 2008 where he played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification against the Iraq national football team[6] where he has since become a regular for the national team.
